Veteran Blackstars Administrator Jonathan Abbey Pobee has called on government to dissolve and reform the Senior National Football team “Blackstars”. Speaking to James Clarke, host of Morning Breeze on in Him is Life Tv/Radio, Mr Abbey Pobee said the country can start reforming the blackstars by using local players since they have no international exposure as far as money is concern and will play for Ghana wholeheartedly.
His comment follows the team’s exit from the tournament after they (the Black Stars) were beaten by the Tunisians in a penalty shootouts on Monday, July 8 at the ismailia stadium.
The match between Tunisia and Ghana ended in a draw. However, Tunisia beat Ghana 5-4 in the penalties.
Mr Abbey Pobee also said the leaders of the Blackstars including the Minister of state, Sports Minister must be invited by the Special Prosecutor.
He explained that these leaders were supposed to disclosed the budget for the Afcon Tournament but they didn’t. Failure to disclose the budget was due to corruption , the Veteran Blackstars Administrator noted.
Mr Abbey Pobee who had earlier said Ghana will never win the trophy until leaders of the Ghana Football Association who have engaged in corrupt activities apologize to Ghanaians said that the exit of the Blackstars in the AFCON Tournament is a clear indication that God is solidly behind him and punishes those who goes against Him the Lord.
