Today is the day 2 of the Opoku Family Clinic ,OPFA free health screening at Amasaman station at Lapaz.

Dr John Kirk Atiso a Medica Doctor at Opoku Family Clinic,OPFA expressed worry about the increasing rate of hypertension cases in the country.

According to him most residents who took part of the health screening had high blood pressure(hypertension)

Dr. kirk Atiso explained that more than 1 in 4 adults have high blood pressure,a condition that can lead to kidney damage,stroke and heart disease.

“It is important to check your blood  pressure regularly. But if you’ve already been told  yours is high lifestyle tips can help tlreduce it” Dr Kirk Atiso noted.

He advised those who have high blood pressure to watch their salt,lose weight,reduce alcohol intake, exercise,avoid smoking and sleep better.

The health screening is aimed at offering free health care to the people of Lapaz  especially the drivers and mates who are always busy with their work.

Residents are being screened of hepatitis b, syphilis, HIV, Blood group, hypertension,malaria among others.
